12 The After Party: Dining Room
>> Wednesday, March 3, 2010
In our construction site, a room qualifies for an “after” shot as long as it is at least 80% functional and we don’t have to leap over boxes or paint cans to make it from one side of the room to the other. I’d say the dining room fits the bill…
We still have one rather large wall to fill, but I’ll take a blank wall over the wallpaper plantation scene any day!
Of course the first pals we had over for dinner were our good buddies Jessica & Scott. We had reason to celebrate! Our friends just found out that they are having a little baby boy nugget!
We were so excited that we dug right into the cake without taking a before shot. Oh well…

Much better with the wallpaper gone!
looks good! you could hang several framed photos on the big wall. I like how pottery barn does that with two rows of 4 frames.
Thanks for the idea Kate! It's looking pretty bare in there.

Christine, we're glad you found us and can't wait for you to come back! The red chest was actually the first furniture rehab that I blogged about. You can find her story here...

Once again, great job!!
I just stumbled on your blog. I love your style! I'm curious where you got your table runner...I love it!!
Carrie, glad you stopped by our neck of the woods!
We picked up the table runner from Pottery Barn outlet in Memphis. Orange is a good friend of mine, so I was excited to stumble upon this one.
Not near a PB outlet? Look! I found the runner on ebay!

Thanks Cara! I am considering getting it. My only problem would be the length. My current table is pretty tiny (I think approx. 36" round). I'm not a seamstress but I might be able to shorten it. Thanks again for sharing your sources. :)
Sure thing, Carrie! I like to cheat and use the iron on tape for hemming in a pinch, but I'm not sure if that would work since there are two layers of fabric in the runner. I am sitting at my dining table right now fiddling with the runner to see how it would work without sewing. hmmm...

I was just going to ask about that table runner, too! LOVE IT.
