28 Holiday Giveaway: Part Deux

>> Wednesday, December 2, 2009

Time for another holiday giveaway! I know you are excited, but you really need to sit back down before your boss realizes that you are partaking in unauthorized blog browsing. Deep breathes, my friend. Much better…

Now, I’m not saying your house smells like an elf with morning breath, but I am saying that it will never truly smell like the holidays until you get a hold of one of these babies.

It’s true! Aunt Sadie’s Tree in a Can candles smell so much like the real thing that you may actually be able to convince that one gullible friend of yours that you went with an invisible Christmas tree this year.

Let’s face it, all of our to-do lists are a mile long during the holidays. So for your chance to win one of Aunt Sadie’s waxy wonders, just leave a comment on this post sharing your secret to making it through the season with your brain still in working order.

You have until Friday, December 4 at noon (CST) to enter, and remember, everyone has a chance to win! That means you, Glenna. We don’t like to make a habit of excluding aunts-in-law around here.

Good luck, and happy living!

I like to keep baked goods on hand in case any unexpected visitors stop by. It makes me happy to know that everyone will leave my house during the holidays with something home baked in hand.

To do lists get me through everyday, especially holidays!

I don't know if there is a way to relax! I do like to sit and look at the Christmas tree.

Every year I try to give a little more than last.

I do my best to finish shopping before thanksgiving. Atleast I can check that one off of my list.

Lets be honest my tree isn't up yet, and the prospect of getting a fake one seems better and better...along with that candle. But to get through the holidays I just try to keep in mind the reason for the season!

The look on my kids' faces when they bring home ornaments that they made at school to hang on our tree is priceless.

A big cup of hot chocolate always makes things better :)

Take a cookie break!

Relaxing by the fire and thinking about all of the blessings in my life reminds me of what the holidays are really about.

Oh I hope I win, that way I can pretend I got a real tree if I squint my eyes and look at my fake tree! Yay for candles.

I always enjoy baking and decorating christmas cookies with my sisters. we have done this ever since we were little and it still makes for a special time for us to get together, catch up and eat a LOT of sugar.

I try to take time and really enjoy all the excitement of this time (decorating the tree, finding the perfect gift, eating more and more, listening to Christmas songs and of course midnight mass).

Decorating the Christmas tree is definitely a good time. I really love pulling out all of the old ornaments that remind me of Christmases past.

The first day the kids are off for christmas break is a great day. They are so excited and it reminds me of how I felt when school was out for the holidays. Such a magical time of year. Thanks for the giveaway! In case I don't win, where can I find one of my own?

I make a long list of everything that I need to get done. The list is always changing and more is added to it but having everything in writing helps me focus on what needs to get done.

I also make sure to enjoy as much time as possible with family and friends.

My chihuahua in her Christmas sweater!

Hopefully smelling that wonderful candle will get me through the joyous stress of the holiday season :)

Take in the good times with friends and family. Some of them I only see during the holidays. Cherish the times you have.

Leigh,  December 3, 2009 at 7:07 PM

I work with wonderful people and we always have a really good time around Christmas. Exchanging gifts and spending time together makes working around the holidays so pleasurable. Cheers!

Julia,  December 3, 2009 at 10:25 PM

All of the cheesy Christmas songs. I turn them up and my car and sing along.

Alex,  December 4, 2009 at 8:49 AM

The Christmas Eve service at church reminds me of why we are celebrating this season.
