2 Colored Lights, Done Right

‘Tis the season where homemade cookies, presents under the tree and Christmas lights can make us all feel like wee little tots again. Even if the Santa cookie you worked for hours to perfect comes out of the oven a holiday mess and the gifts are wrapped with duct tape since you used all of the scotch tape to stick on the cat’s tail to see how many laps she’d take around the living room before it falls off. No worries, Tooty likes it. See, this is her happy face. She’s thrilled.
What was I talking about? Oh yes. Cookies. Gifts….LIGHTS! Let’s focus on colored lights in particular. Definitely a hit or miss undertaking only for the brave, but Kimba at A Soft Place to Land has hit the nail on the head.
The big round bulbs paired with colorful ornaments on either side of the mantle are spot on…

I may even be tempted to try out a few colored lights of my own next yuletide. Maybe. Kimba has major skills. I have fewer.

Ha! That is too funny! The lights look great though.
I love colored lights but there always seems to be that one neighbor that has to put them outside their house in the worst way possible.
