27 Birthday Recap & Holiday Giveaway: Part Trois
>> Monday, December 21, 2009
We do have a giveaway today, but like your Momma always told you, nothing in life comes for free, and this too will require you to suffer through a bit of my blogging babble to get to the good stuff. Let’s go ahead and get started, shall we?
We had a very exciting weekend: Eric D. Wilkerson turned a quarter of a century old. This doesn’t happen everyday, so celebrations were in order. Big surprise party? Bar hopping until all hours of the night? None of the aforementioned could compare to what we had in store. Christmas lights. Millions of Christmas lights.
We grabbed our pals Scott & Jessica and cruised on down to check out the ample supply of lights displayed at Garvin Gardens in Hot Springs. Here we all are chilled to the bone but enjoying the sights…
Great times for sure, but no birthday extravaganza would be complete without a few board games, right? Right. Scrabble it was! As you can tell, I don’t take well to losing…
I know what you are wondering. One final question is haunting your troubled mind. Where were the pups during all of this craziness? Snuggled on the couch of course…
Those two are just a couple of party poopers.
Well, all of this fun got me to sentimentaling—you can go ahead and put down your Webster’s dictionary because you won’t find that word in there. So many wonderful memories all start at home, especially during the holidays. This, my friends, brings me to our third and final holiday giveaway.
Nate Berkus, Oprah’s right hand decorating man, lives by the philosophy that you should love the home you live in, and with his book Home Rules, we can all create a space to love and share.
I like to refer to this treasure chest of a book as “Decorating for Dummies,” and I just know you will gain as much from Nate’s insider secrets as we have.
To enter, just leave a comment on the this post. That’s it. No rules. No question to answer. Just leave any old comment. You can write about what you had for breakfast. Or what the guy in HR had stuck to the seat of his pants. Or just leave a friendly ‘hello.’ The possibilities are endless!
AND, to add a bit of a twist, become a member of LTHL on Facebook, and your entry counts twice. Whether a member before or a member after I coaxed you into it, your entry will be double the fun!
Not a fan yet? Click here to become a part of our Facebook family.
You have until Wednesday, December 23 at 5:00 p.m. (CST) to leave your comment. Good luck, and happy living!
