2 Could you please pass the salt?

Over the past month, I have neglected my pal Melissa at The Inspired Room. This I blame on my computer. My blog feed tracker—that is a technical name, you see—is supposed to keep me in the loop and make blog stalking as seamless as possible. I have hundreds of blog friends that may or may not know me—most do not—but I am sure are devastated to find that I have not visited in a while.

So, my dear friend named Melissa that does not know me, I apologize for my absence and I will never stray from you again. Not after what I found upon returning to your haven of inspiration…

Melissa uses Epsom salts as a quick and easy fake snow solution!

Forget the plastic gear from Pottery Barn. I heard from a trustworthy source that you better get it right on the first try or you’ll be picking little shreds of plastic condensation from your jute rug until next Christmas.

Ready for another Epsom trick from Melissa? Roll a candle in Mod Podge and then coat with Epsom salts. Genius!

Love the candle idea! I think I will try it out this week. I think blue or white candles would be perefect because you could use them all winter.

That is so stinking cute! I love the fake snow. I confirm that the stuff from PB does go everywhere.
