9 Thrifty Find: Windows
>> Friday, July 23, 2010
Judging from my master bedroom set up, it wouldn’t take a Mensa member to figure out that I am smitten with old windows.
So my heart could not fathom the thought of turning away these three window finds from the Habitat for Humanity ReStore—especially with a $10.00 price tag…total!
Check back next week to see how my three amigos settled into their new space. Happy weekend!

OMG! I want some!
UMMM...I'm gonna need some! Is this place open on Saturdays!? I might be going there tmrw checkbook in hand!!!
No worries Cara Beth! The North Little Rock ReStore is open on Saturdays and they usually have plenty of windows to choose from. Let me know what you find!
Claire, if you aren't in the Little Rock area, there are ReStores all over the country that may have windows of their own. Happy thrifting!

I really love the window that you have on the chest in your master. All of the glass panes are lovely!
A girl after my own heart. I refurbished 4 old windows to serve as mirrors for my powder room and love it!
Sheryl, I bet they look amazing! I've yet to meet a room that couldn't use an old window or two!

Thanks, Krista! I have to admit, the window in the master is my favorite that I've found so far. I'm with you on the panes, and the muted color of the paint on the window works well with the curtains. Score!

can't wait to see the result. I like windows too, very much. I have a lots of windows photos through my home, windows have big simbolism for me. when my father renovated his home,he left aside old windows I would love to put on walls just like you did. But my hubby looked at me like I'm the crazy person, when I suggested that. This way I can show him the final result, hoping he will love it as much as I do :)
Millie, that is so cool that you have the old windows from your father's home. I'm planning to post pictures soon, so hopefully they'll help you bring your hubby into the light. :)
