1 ReStore Rehab

>> Tuesday, May 5, 2009

Habitat for Humanity ReStores are retail outlets where quality, used and surplus building materials are sold at a fraction of normal prices. In addition to raising funds for Habitat, ReStores help the environment by rechanneling good, usable materials into use. Fortunately for us, we have two ReStores in Central Arkansas, one in both North Little Rock and Benton.

Recently, we ventured to the ReStore in North Little Rock during a heavy downpour to see what kind of goodies we could stumble upon.

While strolling through the aisles, we came across an old dresser. It was definitely in need of a little TLC, but with a price tag of only $25, I felt the urge to rehab this baby and find a place for it in our home.

We decided to take this piece under our wing and give it new purpose as a console table to fill the empty wall in our entryway. As you can see, there is not much happening in this space currently...

We can't wait to share the final result with you in a later post. Hopefully we'll have a beautifully restored addition to our home. If not, there will be a new addition to Craigs List.
