Maybe I am inspired by yesterday’s outing to the Heights’s Holiday Open House with my favorite sister—was anyone else wowed by Tipton Hurst’s new digs?!—or perhaps I’m just feeling a bit festive today. Either way, let’s break into this work week with a giveaway!

I love Christmas because it's the one time every year when I know for sure my sisters and I will all make it home.

I always love pulling out all of my ornaments for the first time each holiday season. So many of them bring back special memories with friends and family. Thanks for the giveaway!

First things first, what don't I love about the holidays?! I love the fact that children still believe in Santa, that everyone is in the mood to give, that Christmas music is playing at any given moment a radio may be on! But most of all....I love that it's the season for miracles. Cheesy?? No doubt, but truly why I love the holidays.
And I'm oh so jealous you got to meet PW!!!!

I always love putting all of the ornaments on the tree with my brother and sisters. It is so neat to see all of the ornaments that we have collected over the years.

I love all of the music at the holidays, but my very favorite thing is our family's Christmas Eve Party. After our church candlelight service (another holiday tradition), we have a party at our house in Arkadelphia. It started out as a one-time thing and soon became a tradition. Many of the neighbors come with their kids (like grown-up kids), and other longtime friends. We have all piled up on our stairs for pictures every year and still do, but now it includes spouses and their kids, and we can't all fit on the stairs anymore. It's a great way to see all of the people who have gone off to college and to live elsewhere now who are just home for the holidays--many of the people who I grew up with. I LOVE the party so much! Not only has it become my family's tradition, but I also think it's become a tradition for the people who come! :) Sorry for the lengthy post, I just got excited thinking about it...we missed it last year!
