10 Happy Blog-iversary to Us!

April marks one year for this little blog of ours and we’ve gotta tell ya, this year has been one hay day of fun! Not only have we not left one day go by without a post (can you believe it?), but we like to think that we aren’t the only ones enjoying this online shrine to all things home.

We’ve had a blast…and we hope you have too! In honor of our one year birthday celebration, we thought we’d highlight a few of our favorites.


Favorite Room of Casa Wilkerson: Definitely the living room. If we’ve learned one thing from a rehab home in progress it is that having a (nearly) completed room to escape remodeling madness is essential. Our living room has been our rock when bathroom wallpaper is being stripped, driveways are buried beneath pounds of mulch and den fireplaces are smothered in wet paint.

Favorite Pet Post: Absolutely the pup’s first gallivant in their new backyard. The joy plastered across their little snouts was priceless.

Favorite Home Project: Hmmm. Tough one. We’re going to go with adding columns to the front porch. The boost to our curb appeal was monumental and I’m sure made the neighbors a bit more at ease with the giant pile of mulch consuming our driveway.

Favorite Crafting Project: DIY wall art. So many of you emailed photos of your creations and we just loved basking in all of your creativity.

Favorite Furniture Rehab: Must I choose? I am going to weasel out and say our nine month recap…but secretly my heart belongs to Eric’s desk.

Favorite Wilkerson Dialogue:  This conversation sums us up pretty well…

Favorite Room Redesign: Our guest post for At Home in Arkansas. The ladies at At Home have been more than spectacular to us over the past year and we just love them (and their fabulous magazine) to pieces.

…AND (drum roll please)…Favorite Blog Post of All Time: Oh geez. This was a tough one, but we just had to go with…our new home reveal! We spent nearly two months working our way towards closing so keeping this one a secret was quite the challenge. Needless to say, we were super pumped to share our new rehab-of-a-home with you.
