5 History Lesson: Living Room Nook
>> Friday, April 16, 2010
This cozy corner of our living room usually receives little attention, but this grouping has a history of its own definitely worth sharing…
1. Upholstered Ottoman: A member of the Rehabilitation Station, we picked up this little lady at an estate sale just down the street from our home. You can catch her before & after story and pics here.
2. Men’s Valet Stand: Rescued from a local thrift store, this $5.00 men’s valet serves as a great spot to hang a quilt or two.
3. Tree Painting: This lovely piece of art was generously given to us by a past client. A brilliant artist in his own right, we are honored to have such a beautiful painting hanging in our home. Want to catch an up close and personal glimpse? Your wish is our command…

I was trying to figure out what to do with my grandfather's old mens valet. It has been in my attic for couple of years. I am single so I don't have much used for one but maybe I will pull it out and give my quilts or a blanket a happy new home!
I just love that wall color. So warm, conforting and homey
Lisa, our men's vallet turned quilt rack has served us well. Drag yours out of the attic pronto!
Jill, thanks for the nice wall color compliment. We went with Napery from Sherwin Williams and wouldn't change a thing!
